BRITAIN YEARLY MEETING (BYM)
Dates: Friday 24-27 May 2019
Venue: Friends House London
Quakers in Britain. Yearly Meeting sessions (meeting for worship for business), Junior Yearly Meeting, workshops and special interest meetings.
Attendance at BYM is open to all members of the Religious Society of Friends, and attenders who seek permission through their meeting Elders. 2019 will examine our privilege (and our assumptions of privilege). Privilege - whether we recognise it or not - fundamentally impacts our ability to act on our urgent Quaker concerns regarding climate, justice and sustainability, and inclusion and diversity. There will be opportunities to engage with aspects of movement building, both in and out of formal sessions, and for everyone to create their own mixture of activities and relaxation from a wealth of possibilities.
Further information is available from www.quaker.org.uk/news-and-events/ym.

SWARTHMORE LECTURE
Saturday May 25th 2019, 7pm, Friend's House. Speaker: Eden Grace
On Earth as it is in Heaven; The Kingdom of God and the yearning of Creation
First started in 1908, the Lectures were founded with a two-fold purpose; "...firstly, to interpret further to the members of the Society of Friends their Message and Mission; and secondly, to bring before the public the spirit, the aims and the fundamental principles of the Friends."
This first lecture presents Quakerism as a religion of experience and first-hand reality—a dynamic, practical religion of life. Further information on the Swarthmore Lectures are available here. (Wikipedia has a comprehensive list of the Lectures from 1908 to the present here.)

World quaker day
Sunday 6th October 2019
Friends World Committee for Consultation (FWCC) invites every Quaker meeting and church from around the world to celebrate World Quaker Day (WQD). As the sun rises in each area of the world we want to remember that Quakers are worshiping through every time zone, celebrating our deep connections across cultures and Quaker traditions.

world quaker week
Sunday 29th September - Sunday 6th October 2019
Quaker week is a national event in which meetings are encouraged to think about outreach and perhaps to organise an outreach event. Whilst many meetings do outreach all year round, Quaker Week offers a time to focus on all the things we do that enable people to discover more about Quakers and the Quaker way.
